Scheduling and efficiency
is addressed right at the onset of an irrigation project,
both in terms of maximising application efficiencies under
times of extended drought-stress, and on the financial returns
of water consumption. As irrigation agronomists, 2iC can advise
on the incorporation of the most advanced weather stations,
moisture sensors and evapotranspiration models to adapt or
control the operation of the irrigation system.
Where a golf club,
grower or landscape developer abstracts water under licence,
they often have to statically demonstrate that the water is
being used in an efficient manner. 2iC recommend that all
irrigators carry out performance and efficiency audits of
their irrigation systems at least every seven years. This
enables financial savings to be made in the quantity of water
used, conserves the environment, and also satisfies the legislators
of such.
