Systems
2iC designs irrigation systems
to apply water efficiently and uniformly.
In engineering a system,
2iC Consultants account for the soil's infiltration rate,
it's hydraulic conductivity and the type of turf or planting.
Environmental factors that affect evapotranspiration as well
as water losses below the effective root profile are also
evaluated. Site and client specific job parameters are also
assessed. These generally include, but are not limited to:
- Water quality and availability
- Power type and availability
- Topography and elevation
- Budgets
Once this data has been
collected, the irrigation system is designed back to the source
and to the power needed to move and pressurise the water to
meet the needs of the turf.
Designing pipe network systems
and reliably controlling water pressure and flow involves
complex hydraulic calculations. 2iC uses the latest Autodesk
suite of software to portray designs and uses computer driven
modelling techniques to ensure that a design will perform
to the 2iC Quality Standards. The closest attention is paid
to the designing in of high levels of efficiency in the system.
Sprinkler selection is made to suit the turf and the needs
of the client - not the supplier. By knowing what information
to collect at the start of the design process, 2iC rapidly
assesses the feasibility of a project and designs the best
project to suit.
