> Total Station Surveying
Total station surveying is the civil engineering
standard survey for land development and gives sub-centimetre
accuracy to a local benchmark or nationally recognised survey
point. 2iC uses total station survey equipment to produce
very high resolution contour maps and three-dimensional digital
terrain models. Such surveys are necessary for the development
of new golf greens, reservoirs and ponds, and for any landscape
that will change over the course of a project.
Topographic survey by total station is not susceptible to
influence from overhead tree canopies or buildings. It is
essential where accurate volume calculations are to be made
or precise details of a finished land surface are required
at a planning stage.
