For an explanation of what
GPS is and how it works please click here.
A pre-requisite for a good irrigation design is a good site
plan. 2iC use Trimble Pro-XRS differential GPS apparatus to
accurately survey all relevant parts of a golf course or site.
These surveys were originally carried out by 2iC solely for
irrigation purposes, but the natural progression led to GPS
surveying becoming a discipline in its own right. GPS data
are accurate in plan and elevation and all the major features
of a golf course or other landscape can be plotted easily
and accurately. As all drawings are created in 'layers', individual
layers can be switched off or turned on so that particular
features can be emphasised.
Typical uses are:
- Master plans of golf course layouts
- Yardages
- Boundary and land registry information
- Drainage surveys
- Buried Services
- Agricultural acreages
Surveying causes no
inconvenience to golfers or any others involved at the survey
site.
